ahhhh HA!

I love all the rhythm/delay and flangerized tracks. Indeed the splicing sounds tight as hell and you managad to mix it into the song in a very interesting and original way.

I also must say that I freaking LOVE piano in trance and techno when it is used correctly and this song defines that. It just sits nicely in the background and creates a great ambience.

The beat is solid, keeps the head bobbin'

Shit man, gonna give you a 5/5 on this one.

I love piano in trance and techno as well! Theres something about that natural sound that still finds its way into every song I do. I wish now after you said that, that I made the piano stand out more. Im glad you enjoyed the beat! It took me a while to get it right but in the end I still got your head bumping. Flanger and phaze is what I've been working on lately and I'm quite pleased myself. Since I dont know too much about the math I just try to remember how one knob changes the music. Im very pleased to see another person who enjoys my music this much! Now! Back to work for me!

Roll out!

Good strong intro. I kinda wanna hear more out of the bass though. Maybe throw another one on top of it after a few measures. I do like it when you take it out towards the middle...oHhhh and that break down beat is the krunk shizzle

Why is the quality so bad...the kick is distorted? What program do you use? Other than that, this beat rides man. Good stuff.

Check out some of my stuff if you get a chance.

Redse7en responds:

Id love to do that but when I updated fruity loops and later reformated my hard drive I lost some of the samples used. This was an old song and at the time I did not know how to effectively use fruity plugins. This meant I used nothing but samples from other things. This is either the case of the quality or maybe at the time I exported it wrong. I do however still have the origional sheet music and will be getting back to this song for a remix. I appreciate the compliment on the beat at the break down! My friend said that "That was the part of the song where people OD (overdose)" I thought it was quite funny. When I get back to this song I will definately remember your great feedback!

Chillllllllll

This is pretty catchy. I like the little bouncy tune...good use of panning. You make use of phrasing very well...the different parts move around eachother very well.

I wish it went into more detail and explored the theme a little bit more. It could also use some delay to make it sound a little more dreamy. Still, it's fun to listen to.

Check out some of my stuff and let me know what ya think!

ok i will and thanks

Go to the bank

and cash this one in. This is a tight-ass beat. I really like it when all the drums come in at :58. It was like you read my mind. The track as a whole exhibits a really cool feeling...one that I can't explain. It's kinda like something from "The Beach" if you've seen that movie. The strings sound great with the exception of the sample. Good strings samples are hard to come by and even harder to arrange into a techno beat. Great sound selection and mastering too (except for the two sounds at the beginning...maybe putting a delay and a flanger or other effects on them will help)

One thing I really wanted to hear was maybe a breakdown where all but one or two sounds are dropped out and then built back into the mix. It kinda gets busy towards the end.

This song is tight man. Great work.

thanks for the review! This one came from the heart and mind. My emotions were a complete unorganized mess, and this song brought out that feeling of being lost and confused. :P

I like how it turned out!

what?

I'm going to give you a 15 for originality, but this isn't easy to listen to. I feel like I'm out of breath. I'm all about experimenting though so props for that.

pakaroki responds:

thanks for the review. Yeah, it is kinda hard to listen to, I was afraid people would tell me that nothing was there because it was so quiet.

What's up man. This arrangement is great...dark and powerful. It's got a hardcore drive to it for sure. It sounds like you are just missing the execution.

Try using harder, more "filthy" sounding synths, especially the one that accompanies the bass(if you really want them to sound fat, double them and pan one track hard left and the other hard right). Also, try adding another bass synth, EQ all the low end out and open the cutoff to give the bassline more dimension.

I really like the arpeggiated lead you put in there, but it might sound better turned down and delayed so it floats around in the background.

I have a similar song called "cut loose" check it out and let me know what you think.

Keep working on this one and I'm definitely keeping and eye out for "Crescent [Remixed]"

franklind23 responds:

thanks for the review! yea i definitely will try and make a remix for this, and try out all the tips you've given. i think the worst thing about my process is that i never mess with channels' volumes other than just so that it is clear. =P

G-UNIT!

DUde, just like outside--which I took on my trip to Brazil and listened to it all the time, showed it to everyone, told em I knew you....haha, jk about that last part-- this song is the shit! It's well arranged and there are vocals with a great lead to follow them up.

The Admiral and I are working on a song together and we wanted to put a vocoder/filter/autotune on some of the vocals...can you help? If you're interested, respond with your email and I'll send you a copy and we'll go from there.

The song kicks ass and I'm not exaggerating......uhm did I really just say that?

Khuskan responds:

My adress is in my profile ;)

And by admiral, you mean admiral consquisitor or however you spell it right? I'd be happy to help out :D

dizzle fa shizzle

Haha, nice intro. This one feels nice in my ears. It reminds me of something or somewhere but I can't place it...I do love that lead though. God I freaking LOVE when builds are totally filtered...and good placement too.

5/5 beeeeooootch, huah huahaha, good work.

LL

EN3RGIE responds:

Hey LaymanLove! Glad you like the filters, there my favorite too :). Thx for the 5 and for yoru review! Ttyl

haHA!

Dude, that was a lot of fun. I never like remixes that much, but this one was different. I love your sound design. Again, you're not afraid to be a little different (ie: automating the reverb- great idea)...music in general needs more of that nowadays. Good stuff. This one gets a 5/5 from me.

Late!

LL

Draze responds:

Indeed i think its different, because its mostly my own work :)

Thx 4 reviewin!
