v.1

What's up man. This arrangement is great...dark and powerful. It's got a hardcore drive to it for sure. It sounds like you are just missing the execution.

Try using harder, more "filthy" sounding synths, especially the one that accompanies the bass(if you really want them to sound fat, double them and pan one track hard left and the other hard right). Also, try adding another bass synth, EQ all the low end out and open the cutoff to give the bassline more dimension.

I really like the arpeggiated lead you put in there, but it might sound better turned down and delayed so it floats around in the background.

I have a similar song called "cut loose" check it out and let me know what you think.

Keep working on this one and I'm definitely keeping and eye out for "Crescent [Remixed]"

thanks for the review! yea i definitely will try and make a remix for this, and try out all the tips you've given. i think the worst thing about my process is that i never mess with channels' volumes other than just so that it is clear. =P

G-UNIT!

DUde, just like outside--which I took on my trip to Brazil and listened to it all the time, showed it to everyone, told em I knew you....haha, jk about that last part-- this song is the shit! It's well arranged and there are vocals with a great lead to follow them up.

The Admiral and I are working on a song together and we wanted to put a vocoder/filter/autotune on some of the vocals...can you help? If you're interested, respond with your email and I'll send you a copy and we'll go from there.

The song kicks ass and I'm not exaggerating......uhm did I really just say that?

dizzle fa shizzle

Haha, nice intro. This one feels nice in my ears. It reminds me of something or somewhere but I can't place it...I do love that lead though. God I freaking LOVE when builds are totally filtered...and good placement too.

5/5 beeeeooootch, huah huahaha, good work.

LL

EN3RGIE responds:

Hey LaymanLove! Glad you like the filters, there my favorite too :). Thx for the 5 and for yoru review! Ttyl
bye!

what up man

It's good to hear you experimenting man. There is a definate progression from your first submissions to this one.

Now the beat sounds like a preset which is cool, but I would mess with it and learn from it so you can diversify and at some fills and breakdowns.

I'm also going to give you a huuuuge secret when it comes to making any kind of music. Delay, delay, delay, delay. Mess with the delay settings and play your loop until it sounds cool.

Lastly, try automating things like the lpf cuttoff, resonance, and other mods. Keep messing around and sooner or later it will just come to you.

Later dawg.

Woooooot

This beat is gangsta. Done like a true master of his craft. I love the pitch bendy ambience. All around V (if I may).

nice

This one jams out....ahhhhhh crap. Why you gotta tease?

good but...

What's up ZENON, this isn't one of your best works, but I do hear some good ideas through the poor mastering. I think there is generally too much going on at once during the duration of this piece. I actually really like your sound choices (except the lead, which I think should be stronger), just not your use of layering (or lack thereof).

I would double the lead with other sounds and draw them out by moving them around in the soundscape. Also, I didn't like the placement of your crash symbols when you brought them in on every 1 and 3 (and then every beat after that). Consider placing them in strategically critical places so that they don't lose their effect.

The only reason I'm sortof tearing it apart is because I really like the musical ideas in this song and I know you can do better!

Good luck man,

LL

haHA!

Dude, that was a lot of fun. I never like remixes that much, but this one was different. I love your sound design. Again, you're not afraid to be a little different (ie: automating the reverb- great idea)...music in general needs more of that nowadays. Good stuff. This one gets a 5/5 from me.

Late!

LL

Draze responds:

Indeed i think its different, because its mostly my own work :)

Thx 4 reviewin!

yo yo

I love the diversity of elements and sound. You seem to throw in whatever you want. No fear to experiment. How many bowls did you spark while making this one? Haha, It's not catchy, but it's got power and it's very original so I'm gonna throw you a 4/5.

I think what that kid was talking about with the flanger thing was that the frequency is too big. It takes too long to finish a cycle.

Thanks for the review.

LL

gorgeous

A very well mixed piece. I love the vocals. Did you record them yourself? If so, what auto-tune plug-in do you use? I need a good one.

The instrumental could have been more diverse and interesting, but again, the vocals and the melody definitely make up for it. Good stuff man.
5/5

LL

Feral-Fox responds:

:) I did not record the vocals, you can buy a vocal pack. For equing I used some Fruityloops plugs and T-racks. Thanks for the review. Peace
